1. Agreement to These Terms

By contacting Woodward Black, making a reservation, or using any transportation service provided by Woodward Black ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Woodward Black provides private, pre-arranged transportation services in the Metro Detroit area, including but not limited to airport transfers, corporate transportation, special events, and point-to-point rides. All rides are pre-booked — we do not operate as an on-demand rideshare service.

2a. Vehicle Policy

Our service vehicle is a Tesla Model 3 Performance. Every Woodward Black reservation is fulfilled in the Tesla. In the rare event a trip cannot be fulfilled due to a mechanical issue or scheduled service, you will be contacted as early as possible to reschedule or cancel at no charge.

3. Reservations & Booking

All reservations must be made in advance by phone, text, or through our website. A reservation is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation from Woodward Black directly. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

  • We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee availability.
  • A valid credit or debit card is required to hold your reservation.
  • Your card will not be charged until your ride is complete unless otherwise arranged.
  • You are not required to pay with the card on file — you may pay by cash, Venmo, or Cash App at the end of your ride.

4. Pricing & Fees

All rates are flat-rate and quoted at the time of booking. The following additional fees may apply and will always be disclosed before your ride is confirmed:

  • DTW Airport Pickup Fee: +$10 for pickups from Detroit Metro Airport (drop-offs have no extra charge)
  • Early Morning Fee: +$20 for any pickup between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM
  • Extra Stop Fee: +$20 per additional stop between pickup and final destination
  • Holiday Surcharge: +25% on major holidays
  • Child Car Seat Fee: +$10 per seat (rear-facing, front-facing, or booster available)
  • Meet & Greet (Inside Terminal) Fee: +$20 for inside terminal airport pickups

Hourly / Events: $75.00/hr with a 2-hour minimum ($150). Hourly bookings are ideal for weddings, galas, corporate events, and nightlife. Any time billed beyond the agreed reservation window will be charged at the standard $75/hr rate.

We do not charge per passenger or for luggage under any circumstances.

5. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both parties:

  • Cancellations due to flight delays, flight cancellations, illness, or genuine emergencies will never result in a cancellation fee.
  • A $50 cancellation fee may be assessed in cases of repeated no-shows, habitual last-minute cancellations without valid reason, or repeated booking and cancelling.
  • We will always attempt to reach you by phone and text before marking a ride as a no-show.

6. Wait Time

  • Airport pickups: 30 minutes of complimentary wait time after your flight lands.
  • All other pickups: 10 minutes of complimentary wait time from the scheduled pickup time.
  • Additional wait time beyond these windows may result in a wait time fee at our discretion.

7. Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, Venmo, and Cash App. Payment is collected at the completion of your ride unless a deposit or advance payment has been arranged. Gratuity is never automatically added — tipping is always appreciated but entirely at your discretion.

8. Passenger Conduct

Woodward Black reserves the right to terminate a ride at any time without refund if a passenger is behaving in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe manner toward the driver or others. Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during transport. A cleaning fee of up to $250 may be charged for any incident requiring professional cleaning.

9. Limitation of Liability

Woodward Black is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We are not responsible for missed flights, missed connections, or any consequential losses resulting from a delayed or cancelled ride. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the ride in question.

10. Child Safety Seats

Child car seats are available upon request for a fee of $10 per seat. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to confirm the seat type needed and to properly secure their child. Woodward Black is not liable for improper use of child safety seats.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from these terms or from use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Oakland County, Michigan.
